How to file (about 10 minutes, online)

  1. Have your Sunbiz document number ready. Sunbiz says payment can be by credit card, debit card, or check/money order (card payments process faster).
  2. Review the information on file: principal and mailing address, registered agent, and managers or authorized members. The annual report is also where you can update them, including changing your registered agent (how).
  3. Pay and keep the confirmation. Sunbiz emails it to the entity's email address on file.

Watch for look-alike notices. Florida's Secretary of State has warned about misleading solicitations and says businesses don't need an outside firm to file (2025 press release). File directly at dos.fl.gov/sunbiz.
